My goal in starting this Blog is to work on one of my Intentions for 2007; Sharing Peace with others. When my daughter Ali brought up the idea of ONE WORD intention for the year, I chose PEACE. When Ali attented one of her teaching Workshops a woman named Trisha Daly gave her a Peace Jar; a jar of 365 little pieces of paper with Peace quotes for each day of the year. Trisha was kind enough to share her Word document of Peace quotes with me to be able to begin the process of one of my intentions, "Sharing Peace with others." I have listed my PEACE INTENTIONS below. Today is the day to take the step of Sharing Peace with Others.
PEACE INTENTIONS FOR 2007
Experience inner peace
Experience peace in times of chaos
Learn and study about peace.
Share the peace with others.
Work for peace in our family, our community and our world.
I am new to the Blog world, as far as writing my own Blog. I have been reading and observing all the wonderful work that others are doing. It is absolutely amazing to watch and read. My goal at this time is to just begin, take a step into the Blogosphere with the Intention of sharing the ideas of Peace.
PEACE QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
"First keep the peace within yourself,
then you can also bring peace to others."

I'm so happy to be the first one to congratulate you on your new blog. You have done an outstanding job at raising very caring and loving children. I'm a fan of Ali's work and you must be so proud of her and her family.
Looking forward to your entries and welcome to the blogging world!

How very cool to see you start your own blog! I wish my mom could too. I'm sure she would love it if she could! She has severe arthritis in her hands so typing for her would be out of the question. But I'm glad to stop by your blog and be among the first, of many I'm sure, to congratulate you! I will add this new blog to my bloglines so I can come back and visit often! :) As you know, so many of us are BIG fans of your daughter's work. It's such a privilege to be able to "visit" with her mother now as well! Thanks for sharing peace! :)
congrats and welcome to the blogging world. i am very excited to see all your intentions, as I am trying to find peace everyday myself.
congrats again
How cool that you'll be blogging. I've been intrigued by "Ali's mom" since "meeting" you through her work. You seem like a woman who has her priorities straight. I wonder a lot what you were like when Ali was growing up. How exciting that we'll get to share in some of your insights now. I wish you peace in all you do...
How true is that quote...and the more peaceful you feel inside, the more you can share it.
What a great idea! Peacefully anticipating the next quote.

patti so excited to follow you as your share your words of peace ;)
miss you!
You are braver than I am! I keep thinking about blogging, but... First, let me tell you what a wonderful daughter you have raised! I know you are proud of you children and grandchildren. As a grandmother of 3, I have found such peace and understanding and enjoyed every moment of this part of my life. I turn 65 later this month and know one could have prepared me for what a wonderful time of life this is turning out to be.
Pati,
Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. You must be so very proud of your daughter Ali and her devotion to the Autism cause. I was very pleased to finally be able to donate on Saturday (I am Canadian and we were not previously able to donate). I look forward to reading more about your "Peace" .

What a wonderful post -- you are off to a great start! I will look forward to more of your thoughts & ponderings. Thanks for sharing with us all.
Dear Pati, Congratulations on your new venture. I am a big fan of your photography!! I had the pleasure of meeting you in Hyannis, MA when my daughter was taking a class with Ali. Tracy's two oldest daughters came with me to visit and show Ali their 8x8 scrapbooks. Both you and Ali made such a fuss over them and they have never forgotten it! I LOVE your blog topic and will follow you daily. God bless you ! Jane
Congrats on jumping into the Blogging world! I love your daughters Blog/work/everything so I can only look forward to what you have to offer!

Peace is my "one little word" also. I actually just finally chose it a couple of weeks ago. I realized peace is the main thing I am striving for in my home right now. I look forward to following your blog. God bless!

Hi Pati
I'm Natalia and I'm from Sydney Australia. Peace is something so wonderful to aspire to and to try and share with others. I know that I am continually trying to strive for it! I look forward to reading your blog. I too, like many here admire Ali and lover her work. She is a wonderful person and you must be very proud of her.
So good to see this Blog about PEACE and the Peace quote of the Dutch Thomas A.Kempis is like a sign to me; I'll copy it to my (blog)life.
Now we see where Ali gets her talent and creativity from (actually from God, but He used you to raise her).
I can't wait to come back and read more entries.
Pax,
Betty

I am very excited to have found your blog. I will look forward to your daily peace quotes, and I will share your blog with my friends. Do you know about the Grandmothers for Peace? I am not yet a grandmother, but there are women at my church who stand, quietly, for peace each Sunday before our services begin. This Friday, Good Friday, I will spend it with a friend who is being tried for her civil disobedience in the cause of peace. I can't think of a better way to spend the day than in court! :) Much peace to you, Mary del Rey
Good to see you, I too am a fan of Ali's. She just seems to touch my heart. I am a mother of 2 and grandmother to 5. I love to scrapbook and 'met' Ali through a magazine. My dh just finished helping me put together my own craft room and I have been doing scrapbooking for about 5 years. I am making one for each grandchild, and as one says, "if I ever forget my life, I can just read the book that Nana is making for me." I love the Thomas a Kempis quote.
What a great new word for this year - PEACE! THanks for sharing the quote!
