"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
American Proverb
On this "first day of the rest of my life," I plan to continue to work on my Peace Intention for 2007: to practice experiencing inner peace, to practice experiencing peace in chaos, to learn and study peace, to share the peace with others, and to work for peace in our family, our community and our world.
I did it!! I accomplished one month of "Share the peace with others," one of my Peace Intentions for 2007, by using this "Daily Peace" Blog as a way to share peace quotes. I started the Blog with 365 quotes from Trisha Daly. Thanks again to Trisha for the idea. It has been the inspiration to work on many of my Peace Intentions for 2007, listed each day at the upper right corner of this Blog, to remind me everyday of my Word Intention for the year. Trisha's quotes started me on my quest, a search for even more quotes. Actually, that was not my original intention, I was just going to use Trisha's quotes, but as I have been working on the Blog I have found many more quotes as I read and study, my Ali Word Intention, PEACE.
Thank you for sharing my journey and for all your kind thoughts and words.

During my scripture study this morning I saw that one of my devotional study guides, Daily Word,
http://www.dailyword.com/?s=U_UN_052405_A1_DWCOMHOME
used the same quote in their meditation this morning. "Today is the first day of the rest of your life.' The meditation's first paragraph states: "In recent years, the statement 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life' served as a reminder that a positive outlook in the present moment can make a positive difference in the moments to come."
I believe that working on Peace is working on a "positive outlook in the present moment" to "make a positive difference in the moments to come." I am constantly amazed at how Daily Word's meditations parallel what I am working on or need to work on in my life. Thank you to all those who work at Unity and produce the Daily Word magazine.

Congratulations on one month of blogging! Also, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, photos, and peace!
Congratulations on the anniversary! I love your contributions to my life. And today is my little brother's birthday! He is 49 -- when I bemoaned my own 49th birthday as being lacklustre, my son reported -- it's 7 squared -- what could be better! It's all in how you look at it!
This is a quote that most of us know, and I just love it. It's also a reminder for me that God's grace is new every morning. What brings peace more than knowing that?
I'm glad I got to be a part of your accomplished goal! I love reading your posts. :)
