"Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny."
Frank Outlaw
Our thoughts eventually become our destiny.
I want to continue to work on peaceful thoughts.
"Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."
Photo: Simon with his McDonald toy microphone in April 2007 - Hmm... could singing be Simon's "destiny?" He did sing three songs at the Creating Keepsakes Portland convention, at the podium, with a real microphone, in front of approximately 500 people! He chose to go up there while his Mom was giving away CKU gifts. I'm so thankful I was there to see that amazing performance!

Thank you for sharing the story about Simon singing at the CKU convention. It's a wonderful visual image to carry through the day... bring a smile to my face... bring a sense of peace.

Dear Pati,
I've been visiting your blog daily since you began it but have been shy to say hi. I'm a big fan of your daughter Ali and was very lucky to attend three of her classes when she was teaching in Sydney. I was very impressed with how generous and gracious she was throughout a very long and very full-on day. I just wanted to say that this blog is a beautiful place to come and visit each day. It really is an oasis of peace in a noisy world. I love today's quote. I have a young son and am thinking of making him a book full of special quotes like this one that he can refer to and think about as he grows up. Your photography is beautiful too. I do like how you reference your pictures. Visiting the Oregon coast is now on my someday wish list. Thank you for sharing your year of peace with us. I think you are creating something very beautiful and special here.
Kindest regards and peace to you from Karen in Australia.
Yay! A singer would be great! Whatever he becomes, I know it will be awesome and that he will follow his destiny with love and peace in his heart...he can't avoid it...it's in his blood!
