I am thankful for the awesome beauty of nature's animals we have the opportunity to observe in this coastal area of the Oregon Coast. Seagulls are one of my favorite birds to photograph. In this photo, the seagulls are enjoying the peace of an old dock where we launch our driftboat in the Bay to go fishing. Old structures waiting to be transformed.

I too love the Oregon Coast and the peace that all of our beloved oregon landscape brings.
I was thinking of peace tonight. Every night my husband and I sit on the couch with my feet in his lap for a rub. I get snuggly under an afghan my mom knit, and the kitty hops on my lap. We stay like that for several hours. We read or watch a BBC movie and don't answer the phone. I totally am at peace. This is our 'safehouse'.
