Hold your Peace.

"..a man of understanding holds his peace."

Proverbs 11:12
World English Bible

I am thankful there are other definitions for peace besides "the absence of war." Using Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary - http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/peace - I believe this scripture verse means creating "harmony in personal relations" by being silent; a "state of tranquillity or quiet." I have to work at this virtue daily. As "God's Word Today" 10/21/07 reminds me, "...words make reality. The sacred power of language has been apparent since God spoke a world into being. Choose your words carefully." Sometimes it is better to hold your words, hold your peace, to create harmony and peace.
