Sleep Peacefully at night.

"Philanthropy is good for us.
It's in our own best interest.
It's personally rewarding when
you see lives change
because of an action you take that,
though simple for you,
means so much to others.
You sleep peacefully at night."

Brad Pitt
Dotson Rader, Parade Magazine - 10/7/07

I am thankful that Simon has had the opportunity to "think of the welfare of another" by visiting our 90+ year old neighbor Irene. Simon is learning various forms of philanthropy at a young age. Irene loves to have Simon visit her, when he is at the beach, and Simon loves to go to Irene's and sing and dance to the music of the Singing Fish. I think he knows all the words to one of the Fish songs; "Don't Worry, Be Happy." Irene also loves to share her dark chocolate Ice Cream bars or a cookie with Simon. It's a happy time for both Irene and Simon.

What a great story...love it. The photo really cracked me up, too...Duncan is a little afraid of the singing fish. Simon, seems to be enthralled...AWESOME!

Liz,

Simon has been totally afraid of the Singing Fish also! It has taken several years of visits for him to understand that it is just a toy and he can make it turn on by waving his hand in front of the fish. It's been interesting watching him as he has learned to have fun with it.
