What is Christmas?
"What is Christmas?
It is tenderness for the past,
courage for the present,
hope for the future.
It is a fervent wish
that every cup may overflow
with blessings rich and eternal,
and that every path may lead to peace."
Agnes M. Pharo

I have been reading about the symbolism of the "Twelve Days of Christmas." There are millions of sites online dealing with the topic. The Twelve Days of Christmas actually start on December 25 and end on January 6th. For those of you who believe in Jesus Christ, or if you just want to learn more about the Christian symbolism of the Twelve Days of Christmas, check out these sites:

I am thankful for the idea of extending the Christmas celebration until January 6, the Feast of Epiphany. I want to spend more time savoring the memories of the time spent with family over the holidays and focusing on the peace, love and joy of the season. Lots of photos to sort and share, like the cute photo of our grandson Henry today and Simon yesterday.
