Epiphany

"Guide our feet into the way of peace."

Luke 1:79

I pray that God may "guide our feet into the way of peace," in this New Year: guide each of us individually, guide our country, guide our families, guide our world in the way of peace, guide us as he did the Three Wise Men in the Epiphany.

This photo has a special memory for me, a perfect modeling of offering help to each other. Al offered a hand to Simon to help guide his steps up the rocks. As I began the climb, Simon said to me, "Give me your hand Gramma." It warmed my heart, Simon was offering me a helping hand to guide my steps up the rocks. Simon is going to be six years old this month and he is already learning to offer help to others. I am thankful that Al and I have the opportunity to spend time with Simon as he grows and matures into manhood.
