"Peace is all around us."

"Our true home is in the present moment.
To live in the present moment is a miracle.
The miracle is not to walk on water.
The miracle is to walk on the green Earth in the present moment,
to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.
Peace is all around us
-in the world and in nature - and within us -
in our bodies and our spirits.
Once we learn to touch this peace,
we will be healed and transformed.
It is not a matter of faith;
it is a matter of practice."

"The miracle is to walk....in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now." My mother, 80, is on her final journey. I believe that she has been appreciating the peace and beauty of the present moment, especially when it involves all the family that has come to visit her. This past weekend many of our family members came to visit on Saturday, including Jessica and Jeffrey from North Carolina. Jessica and Jeffrey brought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers, with the wonderful smell of Lily's and Freesia. The beauty and scent of the bouquet will enhance the beauty and peace of the present moment for many days to come.
