Tenth Day of Christmas
"May Peace be your gift at Christmas
and your blessing all year through!"

Wouldn't it be nice if we could really have the gift of PEACE for Christmas? Ali, Jessica and Liz found lots of cool Peace gifts for me this Christmas. I am thankful for all the wonderful gifts of Christmas. The photo is of a Friendship Ball and Peace Bookmark that Liz, John and Henry gave me. It's been a traditional and fun gift to share for many years between Liz and I. The tag with the Friendship Ball states:
"In renewing an old English tradition, it is told how a special ornament is traditionally passed back and forth as the occasion arises and exchanged through the years by friends, sisters, and mothers. It contains soothing bath salts to enjoy in a quiet moment. Maybe it will be returned with special chocolates, a piece of jewelry, potpourri, or an antique handkerchief for drying tears. In any case, use your imagination to fill your Friendship Ball and pass it back and forth through the years. After all, the real gift inside is the treasure of your friendship."

What a great gift! I love the idea of it being exchanged again and again, with something new inside as a reminder of the strong friendship outside. So very cool!
