Peaceful comfortable environment.

"My personality and preferences are reflected
in the colors, pictures, and furnishings I choose
to create a peaceful, comfortable environment."

Daily Word - 3/10/08

The real personality and preferences, of our beach home, are the people in the room of this photo and the fact that they all have Mac laptops except Chris. Chris has since purchased a Mac desktop computer. We are a family of Mac geeks, or wanna-be Mac geeks.

You may be able to see that I love white wicker furniture. It's light, airy, casual and comfortable. Antiques, baskets and candles are also my favorites; many baskets full of sea shells, glass balls and memorabilia from our beach walks; and there are always lots of flowers and plants decorating our home. The plant hanging over the window is a Hoya that began as a start from a plant given to us by Al's Mother. An Heirloom Hoya. The Hoya loves that location and blooms several times a year as shown in the photo below.

I am thankful for the beauty of the colors, furnishings and pictures in our environment. These things may help make our house a home. The "things" are nice frosting, yet for me, true peace comes from within and in the relationships with the people in our lives. That is why I love the photo, of many of the members of our family sitting together, with everyone sharing and talking about what they are reading on their computers.

I love this photo. It is a great capture of your family and communicates the value that each hold for you and that they as a unit hold, too. Additionally, there is some cool historic value captured by that photo (to be experienced later). All the way around, one of my favorites...Plus, I'm still cracking up about all of those Macs!
