Moments of Peace

"Success sometimes seems like a collection of products,
or a place that you can get to or buy.
..Success is every minute you live.
It's the process of living.
It's stopping for the moments of beauty, of pleasure;
the moments of peace.
Success is not a destination that you ever reach.
Success is the quality of the journey."

Jennifer James, Ph.D.

There are definite "moments of peace" on Lighthouse Beach. As Al and I spend time walking on the beach, and observing the beauty and art of the beach, we enjoy moments of peace. The photo above is a Sea Urchin. One of my favorite beach art photos. Sea Urchin's have so many different looks as they open, close and capture their prey.

I am thankful to have the opportunity to walk the beach, observe and photograph Sea nature at low tide.

It's strange, but I've been finding myself really thinking about this concept a lot lately. I want my life to be more than just things. I want to bring light into the world -- make people smile and laugh. I want to inspire friendship, love, hope.

Thanks for this post and for being such an awesome example of what I want to be myself.

Also, I love the photo -- I studied tidal pools in highschool and thought I might become an oceanographer some day (that's why I went to OSU)! I just love the creatures of the sea!
