"Try to avoid thinking about what you're not:
"I'm not happy, not rich, not good-looking," and so on.
Instead, think about what you are:
"I am joyful; I am prosperous; I am beautiful."
Your self-esteem will rise immeasurably."
Sylvia
I pray that my Mom, who has Alzheimer's, is feeling peaceful. In her lifetime, she has been "joyful, prosperous, and beautiful." When I visit her she seems peaceful and comfortable in her assisted living apartment. Mom still recognizes family members, but can't remember we have been there after we have left. Mom loves to have family and friends visit her. She loves to look at all the photos I have on the computer. Mom learned how to use a Macintosh computer when she was 50+ years old. She even designed her dream home that was built in Gearheart, Oregon in the 1990's. I am thankful for my Mom, who instilled the ideas of Positive Thinking in her family.

How beautiful, Pati! It is such an added bonus to visit your blog and see/read how Love lives in your family. Such a wonderful gift you all share!
I wanted to let you know that I've been dropping in and visiting your site for several months now...time for me to say hello!
I so appreciate your thoughts and focus on peace. Peace, in all aspects of my life, has been my focus too, for the past 2 years and it has made such an incredible difference. This year, I also added gratitude to my focus and again, it has amped up the joy in my life.
Thanks so much Pati, for holding the focus of peace and shining your light in your corner of the world. I really believe that if we all begin to do this, a tipping point will be reached and there will be a truly peaceful world.
Beautiful words. Thank you. And so sweet that is your post today...I was just thinking of my husband's mother who had Alzheimer's. She was so graceful and left us with a legacy of PURE love. :-)
