"When you are calm, patieint, and loving,
you bring out the best in those around you.
By being an example of peace,
you open the door for others
to be more patient, accepting, and gracious.
Rather than being upset
by the ups and downs of daily living,
you create an environment
in which it's okay to go with the flow."

"Go with the flow." That's one the phrases that Ali uses in teaching her Life Artist classes. I love the phrase and want to be that way in my life. I am thankful for Ali and all the great ideas she is implementing in her creative life and...sharing that knowledge with others. I want to be an example of peace. I want to "be more patient, accepting, and gracious," and - "Go with the flow."

I am thankful for your daughter, too. I don't know her personally, but I've read her books and her blog, and I appreciate so much what she's taught me about going with the flow. I don't know how often I've started to stress out about something in my own creative pursuits, worrying that whatever I'm doing is not "perfect" or "good enough," and I remember Ali's advice, "It is ok." So simple, but it really gets me back on track.
Which helps because inner peace is a good breeding ground for global peace, don't you think?
I bet you and Ali's dad are so proud of her.

Melissa,
I loved your story of how Ali has helped you in your creative pursuits. Thank you for your comments. Ali's Dad and I are very proud of Ali, and all our children. Each one is an individual with goals and dreams of their own for life. And, Yes, I do believe that "inner peace is a good breeding ground for global peace."

You are such a great example of peace, Pati...your approach, how approachable you are, your kindness to all, and your thoughtfulness are powerful testimony to that. Thanks for all that you give to us and the world!
