The obstacles and circumstances of life can break our hearts. As we work to mend our hearts, stitching together the broken parts of our lives, we can choose to continue to develop our innermost selves. Choosing the emotions of peace: compassion, understanding and love; we can forgive ourselves and others as we work for peace in our own lives and in our world.

I am thankful that I know how to use a needle and thread. I can work on my own heart, and my own life, one stitch at a time!
