"Courage is the bridge between fear and peace.
When we courageously work through our fears,
new levels of peace and strength slowly emerge.
If we face it until it is gone,
we eventually reach the grand prize,
the fearless peace of the soul."
Dr. Phil Shapiro

Courage, The Bridge Between Fear and Peace (article) by Philip Shapiro on AuthorsDen
Fear can overwhelm us. I can not imagine a "peace that comes from fear." I would rather work with the bridge of courage between fear and peace. Face the fear and work through it, one step at a time. Dr. Shapiro discusses (at the above link) the work of changing thoughts of fear to those of peace by: "practicing mindfulness, meditation, the presence of God, affirmations, yoga, and other techniques," to achieve what he calls "fearless peace," eventually reaching a "permanent peace of the soul." I am thankful for the concept and the words - "peace of the soul."
I pray that all people in the world dealing with fear may find this "fearless peace of the soul."

Oh wow! I just knew that was the Astoria bridge (I have dreams about that bridge -- I'm such a chicken about heights).
I was so glad to see you and meet your sister, yesterday. It's great that she's getting interested in scrapping, too. Plus, she has such a great guide in you!
Have a great weekend, Pati!
