Peace as a cooperative effort.

The structure of world peace
cannot be the work of one man
or one party or one nation.
It must be a peace which rests
on the cooperative effort of the whole world.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945)

How can we look at this Earth we live on, and all the beauty of outer space, and have any expectation that one man, or one party, or one nation can solve the concept of "world peace?" Each one of us has the responsibility to "Let peace begin with me." It saddens me that our Presidents seem to carry so much of the weight of blame concerning the peace of our country and our world. I pray for the leaders of all countries: for their responsibilities, for their choices, for their own personal peace.

Pati,

It was a pleasure to meet you last week. Liz talks of you often and I am so glad to put a face with the name.
Your post is wonderful and a great reminder that we all have the power to choose peace.

Thank you!

One of the wonders of satellite imagery is that we get to have so many different views of our planet and I continue to be stunned by its beauty, from all angles.
We need peace, not war, and I appreciate you making sure your posts are part of the conversations.
Take care
Kevin
