"My solitary, quiet, and uneventful walks along the edge of the water, protected with warm clothing to buffer me from the cold winds and the distant surf still stimulate my body and my mind. They are a respite from the busy world of details and demands. When I walk on my beach now, I am enveloped in an aura of peace and serenity. My spirit, my soul, is strangely warmed in spite of nature's cold temperatures. I know life is stil worth living. The simple things of life always bring me back to this realization: Life is good."

Canfield, Hansen, Aubery, and Vegso
One of the highlights of being in New York City with Jessica and Jeffrey was attending the Book Expo of America. There were hundreds of authors at the Expo signing their books. As I walked around in awe, seeing what seemed like millions of books, I ran into the booth where Jack Canfield and Mark Hansen were signing their latest book, "Chicken Soup for the Beach Lover's Soul." True serendipity! I have always loved their series of books and to have the book they were signing be about people's love of the beach...it was awesome! As I have been reading the book this past week all the beautiful words each author uses, to describe their memories and love of the beach, inspires me to appreciate even more our opportunity to have a place here on Lighthouse Beach. I am thankful to God for helping me be in the right place at the right time to be right here at this time!

Mom,
This is excellent.
They are both friends of Jeffrey's -- and have found much success in the writing world.
I'm so glad that you have found peace at the beach.
Love,
Jessica
