This morning I saw the sun shining on my wooden Peace sign in the kitchen window. It looked so beautiful with the sun and shadows. I decided it had to be my Blog study this morning. I've been working on some kind of acronym for Peace, for my own thoughts and actions, to help me practice Peace. What a study that has become; reading the dictionary and finding the true meaning of the words. I love WORDS. This morning I have been studying the E words. There are so many words that could be used for a Peace acronym, just for the letter E.
• effect peace - "cause it to occur" by our thougths and actions
• elect peace - chose peace
• embrace peace - accept, adpot, welcome, espouse
• emit peace - radiate, send out
• emphasize peace - importance, priority, significance, accentunate
• enable - empower
• enact - perform
• encourage - give hope, confidence, inspire, reassure
• endorse - agree to, approve
• expect peace - believe it will come, be confident of receiving, anticipate, look forward to, contemplate, count on, hope for, rely on, assume, believe, imagine.
• experience peace - be aware of feel, sense
• express peace - make (feelings/thoughts) known by words or gestures.
It's to hard to decide, there are so many words. Anyone want to join in the search? I'm going to continue to work on this idea until I have an acronym that I feel I can focus on in times of stress, sorrow or trouble. I love the word Peace, but sometimes I want to expand on the concept of Peace and what it can define.
Just for today, I will chose these words for my acronym.
P - pursue peace
E - encourage peace
A - accept peace
C - confirm peace
E - embrace peace

I just read your blog and the timing was so good. I just talked to my youngest daughter (34) and I could hear her voice quivering. She has so many, many changes happening in her life at once and she tries to show a tough exterior. She just picked up her dog from the vet (he's in a lot of my blog pics) with a brain tumor, this is her last day of work, she leaves DC tomorrow after many years to come home to WI for a few days before she moves to Arizona... the list goes on & on. I was just sitting at my computer praying for her to find peace someplace in her life right now. Acceptance has so much to do with peace. I can't wait to get her in my arms. I like your word search for peace. Prayer (maybe my 'P' word)brings me peace. I put problems in God's hands and find a degree of peace. This is lengthly. Thanks for the peace that radiates from your site.
