Words of Peace - a work in progress

"Unless we are confronted with life-threatening actions from others,
it is far better to be understanding and to forgive
the faults and failings we encounter.
Rather than using inflammatory words to incite hostility,
life-afffirming words create an environment
of peace, sanity, and rapport
in which it is possible to achieve de`tente and compromise.
Harsh words - though only words - penetrate the spirit,
while gentle words tell the world we reject adversity,
that our desire is reduce
the slings and arrows of outrageous conduct."

"The Best Things In Life Aren't Things" - pg.15

I am thankful for the stitchery projects that I have had the opportunity to create in my life. I found this Peace Candlewick, by Creative Moments, during one of our thift store shopping trips....no directions included. Perfect project for my focus on Ali's "One Word" idea for the year. I want to use "life-affirming" words. I want to live in "an environment of peace, sanity and rapport."

How beautiful! I am not very good at stitching (patience issues, heh-heh). But, I love them. Your peace piece is turning out so amazing!
