"Heather can bring peace to a home..."
"Another ritual use for heather is to call positive spirits and energy. You can also carry heather flowers for good luck and protection. If you are doing rituals for initiation or self-dedication, you might want to include heather blossoms. They are associated with beginnings and self-discovery.
Heather can also bring peace to a home or between 2 people when there is conflict.”
Magickal Herbs by Terri Paagnen
Heather
I had several reasons for searching for any relationship between the Heather plant and peace. I found the quote for today on the website by O'God, 2006, who had done research on the Heather plant. It is so fun to be able to search the Internet for any random connection between words and find other people have written something about the same topic of interest to me. My search today was related to the word Heather - the plant, and my niece, Heather, who came to the beach for a visit. She and her boyfriend Scott are visiting for the weekend and river fishing with Al. They are spending the day on the Coquille River fishing for Steelhead.
I love the beauty and peace of both Heather's in my life today!

I don't think I've ever seen heather in bloom! The photo (as are all of your photos) is so beautiful. And Heather and Scott look so happy!
