Garden of Peace

“Bitterness is a root that ruins the garden of peace.”

“When angry feelings go unchecked,
They’ll mushroom into hate;
So don’t let time feed bitterness –
Forgiveness must not wait.”

David Sper

I am so thankful for all the beautiful flowers available to plant in our garden. The Livingston Daisy is one of those plants that Al and I search for every summer. It is a very difficult annual to find in the nurseries. Our 93 year-old neighbor loves to have them in her garden as they open their many colored blooms when the sun comes out. It takes sunlight to make the blooms open and display all they glorious beautiful colors.

I pray that I don’t need light to keep out any bitterness I may feel for the disappointments, hurts feelings, or sorrow that I may have in my life. I want to experience “the garden of peace” and see the beauty and good in all of life.
