"And if tonight my soul may find her peace in sleep,
and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower.
Then I have been dipped again in God, and new created.
D.H. Lawrence - "Shadows" (1932)
English Novelist and Poet - 1885-1930
I love Lawrence's imagery of the "new-opened flower." I am thankful for the many beautiful flowers we have in our garden, thanks to Al's spectacular gardening. It was difficult to choose just one photo for today's post, we have so many awesome flowers. I am thankful that each day is an opportunity for a new beginning.
